Privacy & Policy

The Tazrah App provides Quran learning through AI assisted recitation analysis, personalised feedback, and optional review by ustaz or ustazah (teachers). All teachers engaged by Tazrah hold valid certification recognised by Majlis Ugama Islam Brunei (MUIB).

The App is intended for educational use. AI feedback is supportive and does not replace assessment by certified teachers.

User Accounts can only be created by adults. Family Plan subscribers may create additional learning profiles that do not contain personal identifiers.

Users sign in using Google Login or Apple Login. We only receive authentication information to maintain account access.

After login, Users must provide additional details ("Registration Information"):

• First Name
• Last Name
• Email Address
• Phone number
• Date of Birth
• Gender

Registration Information is required to verify the User, manage subscriptions, and provide App features.

We collect the following information when you use the App:

• Registration information: first name, last name, email address, phone number, date of birth, gender
• Authentication information from Google or Apple
• Learning data such as progress, recitation attempts, AI results, and teacher feedback
• Family profile data (Family Plan): profile label, optional age range, progress, and a non-identifying profile ID
• Recitation audio submitted by Users or profiles
• Device and usage information (e.g., device type, performance logs)

We use information to:

• Authenticate and manage User Accounts
• Provide recitation scoring, personalised learning and progress tracking
• Process recitation submissions and provide ustaz or ustazah assessment feedback
• Improve AI accuracy and overall App performance
• Generate anonymised analytics to support product development
• Maintain App security, prevent misuse, and support troubleshooting
• Provide customer support and respond to inquiries

AI-generated feedback is supportive and does not replace evaluation by qualified ustaz or ustazah.

Information may be processed by secure service providers to operate and improve the App.

Payments are processed through our authorised bank payment gateway. We do not store credit card numbers, bank details, or financial credentials. We only receive the order ID, payment status, and amount paid.

Subscription fees are non-refundable, unless required by applicable law.

We retain Registration Information and learning data for as long as the User Account remains active. When an account is deleted, Registration Information, learning data, and identifiable audio are permanently removed.

We may retain anonymised audio and anonymised analytics for product improvement. This information does not identify any individual.

We do not sell personal data to any third parties.

We only share information with trusted service providers when needed to operate and improve the App. These providers may process information only on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process.
